Look at this sky

La Feria, TX  70º with bright sky.
This was scene to the west as we just left the Rec Hall on way back from Pot Luck supper tonight.

Since I haven't written since Monday, will fill in. I pumped up the tires on our folding bicycles and also brought the Trikes up to their 95#.  Seems like they loose pressure in a week or so and most of them were at 65#.  By doing that and putting a little grease on the chains they move right along.  Hoping Al & Carolyn will use the bicycles some while they are here-- they are expected to be here tomorrow evening.
Monday evening we went to neighbors for Pegs & Jokers.
Harold, Doris, Harold & Phyllis
Tuesday was the craft carnival in the Rec Hall.  After eating one of their good hamburgers there I helped tear down the tables and set up the chairs for the Bluegrass Jam that was to start at 1:00 pm.  Here are two photos from the same spot--first taken at 11:50 am and the second at 12:15 pm.

We sat in on the last half of the Jam - was good music.

They were burning a cane field not too far north of us.
And we started getting some of the Texas Black Snow from it.
Today we moved the furniture off the carpets and had them cleaned.

This afternoon we spent a couple hours at a presentation of Alaska tours.  Some cover much more ground and spend more time in Alaska than the one we took in 2006.  We have been thinking of driving an RV to Alaska in the summer of 2013--maybe this would be an alternative, we'll see.

We just got back to the park in time to go to the Pot Luck Supper tonight (stopping by Church's Chicken to get some prepared chicken) and Phyllis has been up to the hall tonight at the Bingo session.  Hoping to see Al & Carolyn arrive here tomorrow from Shenandoah, IA.

Be nice to your kids -- they will choose your nursing home!

Till next time, Lynn
