After touring the Kansas State Capitol we drove to near Tescott, Kansas to Bill & Kathy Conally's place. After setting the trailer Bill had Leonard Lund and myself get on his 4-wheeler and go check his cattle. He fall-calves and is about half way done.
Quigley, the dog, rode in the back.
Bill calves both fall and spring, having similar sized herd for spring.
After checking the cows/calves Bill put out some feed for the bull.
He heard the feed being dumped and promptly came up.
After returning from the pasture we ate supper. At right is Phyllis with Noni Lund (From near Sioux City, IA)
Kathy and Bill Conally
Getting short time now and I must leave the computer to go to the 6th Floor Book Warehouse Museum in Dallas. Will catch up on this later. We got in this RV Park after dark last night and spent some time getting in to a really small place. However, it is still the same side in our trailer! And, even though it is tight one side is on the street so have unlimited view that way -- across the street is a small airport.
More later, Lynn
