Clarinda, IA 55º and light mist
Just returned from trip to eastern Iowa. Friday, after stop in Des Moines, went to Marengo, IA. Got to visit with Granddaughter Ashley and her husband Heath and we delivered to them the Lazy Boy recliner chairs we bought on Harold Book's sale a week ago. Got to look over the house they just moved in to the end of September in Marengo. Nice house and glad they are now paying "rent" towards an investment.
Went to Wilton, Iowa on Saturday to watch the Marengo Iowa Valley Tiger marching band compete in field marching contest. Heath is their Band Instructor.
Today we drove from Marengo to Kirksville, MO where granddaughter Emily now lives. She moved there just this fall to work at Truman State University Book Store after graduating from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa. After getting a look at her place we, Cam & Patty, and Emily and Vince went to Thousand Hills State Park near Kirksville for a fine buffet noon meal.
About a 175 mile drive back to Clarinda, mostly in a light mist, arriving about 6:40 pm.
