Rainy Sunday

La Feria, TX  48º raining, 19 mph gusty winds.
We had a good day yesterday, going to Brownsville, TX to a huge Flea Market.  Click on pics to enlarge.
Oliver, Mary Jo, Patty and Phyllis returning to the car.

Outdoor spots had lots of tools.

Lots of booths with flowers, etc.  Also lots of birds in cages.
Lots of stuff..........girls went one way and Oliver & I went our way.  I did buy a small card "shuffler", but passed on buying a lot of other things.

We stopped at Sam's Club in Brownsville for a little shopping.
Ready to check out.

Muscle Milk (Look at small type Contains no Milk)

We drove from Brownsville to South Padre Island and watched the kites a while at the Kite Festival.  Weather was ideal--overcast and not too hot, with a steady easterly wind.
After watching a while we headed over the bridge to Port Isabel and went right to the Pirates Landing Restaurant.  We had to wait about 45 minutes, even though it was 2:30 in the afternoon.  An employee said it had been busy all day.  While we were waiting outside, and during the hour and a half we were inside the restaurant we watched the traffic coming back over the bridge.  Never saw any break in the traffic during all that time.
We had good lunch/dinner.  Several had chicken fried steaks, but Phyllis had a shrimp Po Boy and I had an oyster/shrimp Po Boy and we both had enough left that we brought home for our lunch today.
While we were waiting outside for our table, watched this guy working with his gadget.  Don't know if he got his legs unwound when he was finished.
Here is a photo on the wall by where we were sitting that was interesting:
Guess there will be a gathering at the Rec Hall this evening for Super Bowl in front of the big TV.  I don't even know who is playing, probably will watch a movie instead.
If it stops raining I may finish up putting a roof over our back steps and maybe a wind enclosure around it that will keep the rain from getting on the steps.

Till later, Lynn
