What a difference a day and several hundred miles makes!!!!!
Was 105 and 107 degrees in Phoenix few days ago and this morning when we woke up this morning in Quartzsite, AZ it was 93 degrees.
We drove west, were at over 200 feet below sea level near the Salton Sea and was over 4,000 feet west of Barroga Springs, AZ. At that level the 70's and it got cooler as we got closer to San Diego. 63 degrees here at Santee, just north-north-east of San Diego where we are set up for the next 4 days.
Hope to be in the area a week or so, but they don't have a spot for us here on Saturday night. Will look around and see if we can find another place for a few days. Talked with cousin Kent Miles a bit ago on the phone and he is lining up several of the Miles cousins for a get-together at his place this Saturday. We have not seen many of them for years, so will be nice to see them.
This park is along a river and has nice bicycle/walking trails so we will get out the Recumbent Trikes tomorrow and see if we can get back into the exercise mode. We did get them out last Sunday in Phoenix, riding before 9 am when it was only 90 degrees -- before it got hot. Was 105 later on.
Since we will be sitting here a while I will try to get some pictures posted. Have a week's worth that have not loaded up.
Later, Lynn
