May is here!

Clarinda, IA  Weather of upper 40's overnight to in the mid 70's during the day. Bright sunshine today.
Yesterday I got the lawn mowed for second time and then spread weed-n-feed on all of it.  Did the daily walk popping Dandelions out of the ground.

Thursday we drove to Atlantic, IA and got rid of several pounds of copper/aluminum/iron at the salvage yard.  Then drove on US 6 on west to Council Bluffs; resupplied at Sam's Club, Walmart, Aldi's and Office Max.  Caught a Subway sandwich at Walmart and drove from CB to Villisca, IA where we picked up Oliver & Mary Jo Herzberg and went to TJ's, their local restaurant that has fish fries most of the fall, winter, and spring on Thursday evenings.  Photo at right shows Oliver and his brother Jerald and wife Judy who came in as we were eating.
At right is Judy, Phyllis & MJ (wishing I would put the camera down)  Really good fish! and they said the chicken was good, too.

After eating we went back to Oli's and MJ's to play Hand & Foot.  Their granddaughter & husband, along with great granddaughter stopped in with May Baskets.  (It was May Day, after all)  Oliver enjoyed pushing the granddaughter around the kitchen on the chair which had wheels under it.  (Wish I could remember ggdaughter's name)

Do you think she was enjoying it?

Last evening Al Ruhde and Pat Steckelberg came to our place from Shenandoah and then we picked up Jack and Karen Baumgartner and went to Creston, IA.  Their Square Dance Club was celebrating 50 years of dancing and had a pretty good crowd show up.

More next time, Lynn
