More rain on Mother's Day

Clarinda, IA - One inch of rain this morning.

Some pictures taken yesterday.  I have no idea what kind of tree this is just west of the house (above) or the flowers at right and below right.

Left and below:  We went to KMA Radio open house in Shenandoah showing off the complete remodeling of their broadcasting studios and offices.

Dean Adkins is on the air (seated at left) interviewing several people.

Dean Adkins showing Phyllis picture of his family; wife and three girls.  We have been friends with Dean for several years.

Phyllis seated at table where she just went through quick lesson on driving the small Singer Sewing machine in front of her.  She will keep it in the trailer when we are traveling.

Last night we took Marcene VonDielingen and Jim & Evelyn Whipple to Coin to the Fire Department Fish Fry Fundraiser.  At left is Evelyn and at next table just getting up are Sheldon and Opal Jones who were customers of ours at Coin Grain elevator back in the 1970's and 80's.

Jim Whipple at end of our table

Darrell Murphy visits with Marcene VonDielingen; behind Darrell Phyllis visits with Fran Murphy.  Darrell has had our vehicle insurance since the 1970's and was a farmer customer of ours at the elevator between 1974 and 1994 when we operated it.

In scanning old photos I found this composite of several pictures pasted together (Had no wide-angle lens then) of Clarinda Elevator probably taken around 1972.  I worked there from 1972 to 1974.

We are in a tornado watch area and have watched tornado strike west of Lincoln, NE on TV.  Hoping for best later.  Lynn
