83 degrees at Kenwood

La Feria, TX 77 degrees right now.  Was foggy as the dickens when we woke up this morning, but sun came out mid-morning and it warmed up then.  When we were riding our trikes around the path at Lake Harlingen and in the surrounding area the temp hit 83 degrees.  Little different than the 38 degrees a few days ago.

Did about 5 miles in the park this morning and then another 4 miles in Harlingen this afternoon.

When we got back I took a foot tall cactus off the roof of our carport and planted it near the fence in the back yard and did some clean up of the leaves and trash on the roof almost plugging the drain area at the bottom.  Will have to finish up tomorrow.    Yesterday we picked up a new odometer for the trike as the two Sigmas weren't working.  Today, when we were riding, hers started working again while my new one was recording way too many miles.  Have to go in it and re-set the wheel size and see if that helps.

We did shopping Friday for part of the stuff Phyllis needs for the Thanksgiving dinner.  She had ordered the turkeys the day before -- will pick them up from El Centro here in La Feria just before Thanksgiving.  We picked up powdered potatoes and stuffing and gravy mix.  Probably other stuff, but can't remember it.  Some at Sam's Club here in Harlingen and some at HEB here in Harlingen.

Tonight is first night for the Sunday Ice Cream and announcements at the hall.  Will probably have some games afterwards.  Harold Williams does this during the winter, but has not arrived so Phyllis is in charge and just left to go set out the ice cream (3-gallon containers) to get soft enough to dip out of.  I better get heading that way.

Later, Lynn
