La Feria, TX 66º A few minutes ago the KMA site in Shenandoah, IA showed they were also 66º. Has been in the 50's the last few mornings and downright comfortable in the 70's during the days.
Well, it is really thinning down here at Kenwood. Bob & Bobbi left this morning as did Darlene & Bill. John and Checkers headed back to Missouri. The sisters Maxine & Judy headed out this morning.
At noon we drove to Harlingen and ate in a Mexican restaurant we hadn't eaten before. El Vaquero Restaurant We split a Mexican Plate meal and could hardly get around it. Good food and not expensive.
Afterwards we went to "the nail place" and Phyllis had some work done on a fingernail. Then we stopped at Dixieland RV and visited a bit with Patty Loveridge, who used to manage here. She told us Kristrina had been hired at Fun n Sun RV Resort in San Benito so we drove down there and visited a bit with her. She just started work in the office there this week. That park is huge -- their website states they have nearly 1400 sites and a lot of activities.
Put many more things in the travel trailer. Rubbed some baby powder on the rubber gaskets on the slide out of the travel trailer (as well as on the Excursion) which was recommended at an RV site for helping to keep the rubber soft. Nearly have all the things put in the storage shed that need to be--have a few more things to put in the house on the day we leave, probably next Tuesday.
Have been routing our trip and decided to stay at Zapata the first night, maybe two, so we can look around the Falcon Reservoir area.
Til later, Lynn
