Christmas over - end of 2014 near

La Feria, TX - 59º - very overcast.  Rained during much of yesterday.  Didn't check my rain gauge.

Phyllis took a few photos of the Kenwood RV Park Christmas parade.  Think she said there were 6 golf carts decorated and lighted.

Few photos of the several tables that were decorated for the Christmas Dinner

Effort was put in by several to make their place settings look special.

Lavin played Christmas music for a time before the meal.

Some of the many side dishes and deserts.

Everyone ready.

Servers ready at the one table.  Served two lines from two tables - turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy -- and then they went down the long tables of side dishes and deserts.

Kathy Connaly working at getting the dishes set out.

Don't have pictures of the serving -- I was serving ham and potatoes at one of the tables.

On way home from the Christmas dinner Phyllis saw this green parrot and got some close-up photos of him.

These photos are from the cookies set out for after the Christmas Eve program.

Terry, Phyllis, Lynn and Loris - our Christmas Eve program quartet.  We sang one song.  There were many solos presented.

Program ended with Nativity scene and then candles held by everyone as last song was sung.

Nativity scene at time of the candles lit.

We have two tomatoes set on our plants.

Last Saturday we went to Rudy's BBQ in Pharr with Bob & Bobbie Raab and met Lyle and Doris Winter for lunch and gab.

Then we played a few games of Pegs & Jokers on their patio.  Weather was fine that day, though overcast.  Next day it was raining.

Went out to eat with a group after church at China World in Weslaco - about 16 of us.  Helped serve the ice cream last night at the hall and then played Pegs & Jokers with some friends.

More later, Lynn
