Yard Sale Day in Kenwood

La Feria, TX  68º

Had a cool day with overcast and back to sunshine yesterday.  Huge clouds building and moving with the winds.

Sunday we rode the trikes some 9.5 miles and ended up at the south edge of La Feria and ate lunch at the City Market.

Wonder if cactus behind our unit will get this big!

Wednesday evening was out first Pot Luck supper with fairly good attendance.   Photo at left is at the serving table.
Bob Raab, Bobby Raab, Don Ferguson, LaRhoda Neher, Harold Neher, and Lawrence Ferguson, among others -- in line.
Bill Connally, Dave Keiper, Jan Keiper and Donna Brinkley at table.

Dave Engle, Lee Miles, Helen Miles, Lois Summer, Pat Summer.

Bob Raab, Bobby Raab, Harold Neher, Doug Seiswadle, Betty Seiswadle, Don Ferguson, LaRhoada Neher, and Denny Arment.

No, we haven't decided to start cooking outdoors.  Decided to upgrade our range and this is waiting for the yard sale later today and tomorrow.

New range, from Lowe's, set in place.  Phyllis is a lot happier with this stove.

Caught Fraulein at breakfast yesterday.

We go to stretching exercises daily at 8:00 am at the Rec Hall.  Phyllis goes to water exercises at 6:45 am at the swimming pool.  Yesterday was first working day at the sewing Thursday.  Betty had a light stroke so is in hospital and was not at the quilting day.  She will be in hospital for 3 weeks doing therapy.  Yesterday was Meet and Greet at 4:00 pm and last night at 6:30 pm was first, of the season, Bean Bag Baseball with good turnout.
Will be setting out several items for yard sale with residents looking things over this afternoon and then open to public in the morning.  Lots of Christmas parades going on.  Hidalgo had theirs Sunday evening and started their month of the enormous lighting display they have every year.  Tonight Harlingen has a lighted parade and the biggest of the valley -- in McAllen -- is Saturday evening.  Don't know if we will make it to one of them or not.  Also a display of lighted miniature houses starts tonight in Brownsville.

More later, Lynn
