Rain, Rain, Rain

La Feria, Texas  62º heavy overcast and mist

Had 3 inches of rain in gauge Sunday morning.  Had rained really hard from 6 PM Saturday evening on.   Fortunately the day the yard sale was opened up to the public we only had fog early and then it cleared off.  These two pictures are of our "stuff" when first starting the sale Saturday Morning.

Some of the items gone by mid-morning.

Items left by the time we started to pack up.

Phyllis put up her Christmas tree late last week.

Lee Miles, standing, and Helen Miles, seated.
Lee Miles (No relation to us) from Elmwood, Illinois celebrated his 79th Birthday Anniversary on Pearl Harbor Day Sunday the 7th and his wife provided cupcakes (The "cake" is made up of cupcakes with solid topping) when we had our Ice Cream and announcements last evening.

Getting ready to serve the ice cream.

Pretty decent sized crowd for ice cream.

Harold Williams making announcements for up-coming activities.

"The Ladies Team"
Some photos I took at he Bean Bag Baseball activity Thursday evening.  First of the season; pretty good turn out.

This morning we had first meeting of the season of the Kenwood Association.  Anyone who is in the park is automatically a member.  Even though free coffee and glazed donuts were provided as an incentive to come, there was a poor turnout.  We are heading out in a bit to Gatti's Pizza for first-of-the-season bingo and eating at 11 am.  It is in Harlingen; and then we have some shopping to do.

Plan on retrieving our travel trailer tomorrow and setting it on the vacant lot beside us and then having a man come look at the slide-out problem on it.
