At Glacier National Park

41 degrees this morning when we woke up here at San-Su-Ed RV Park just south of West Glacier, MT.
We are in a lot of trees.  To go for a drive after bit.  Have reservation to go on Red Bus Saturday.  First time we could get on.  They have several different routes, with fleet of the really old open top buses, but each holds only 17 customers.

 We drove here yesterday from Cheney, WA where we had spent 3 nights.  We visited on Sunday with Jack and Janeen Preeo at Medical Lake, WA.  They grew up in Clarinda area and were schoolmates with Phyllis many, many years ago.  They are at left in front of their house.

                  They spent a lot of time clearing area behind their house and have nice recreation area back there.

 Lots of flowers and plants.

We drove into Seattle and went to a nursery/ fruit stand they frequent.

Their son Tim barbequed some steaks for our late afternoon meal.

We walked past a couple houses and across the street to get on their pontoon boat.  At the house immediately across the street from their dock this deer was lying when we went, and was still in the same position when we walked back to their house after the boat ride.

This lake is pretty big, and took short hour to go around the perimeter of it.

On Monday we drove some 15 miles northeast of the edge of Spokane and visited with Doug and Sue Tyndal who are neighbors in our RV park in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas.  They are employed as gate guards for the summer for a paper company at the entrance to large forested area.  Doug talked us into taking his 4-wheeler up the 7 miles or so to the top of Round Top which was the tallest mountain in their guarded area.

The view to the left and upper part of this picture shows some of the numerous trails that we had come up.  We put 14 miles on the odometer up and back and took about 2 hours.  Saw a lot of interesting views, 

We were clinging on the side of the mountain as we neared the top.  We actually didn't get clear to the top as the last little bit included a very, very steep incline on some slick rocks that tipped and rocked the 4-wheeler and when Phyllis hollered we backed off and looked out where we were.

 Back at their trailer we relaxed and had lunch.

A creek runs beside their trailer and they have made a place to relax there.  Cody is keeping an eye on me.




Well, is close to 10 am and time to take off for some driving in Glacier.
