La Feria, TX  90º bright sunshine.
Just returned from the west where we went to McAllen this morning and got some new insoles for our Z-Coil shoes and Phyllis got a new pair of sneakers.  Then we went down to Pharr and ate lunch with her Aunt Eva.  She is doing well, for 86, going on 87 in September.  She doesn't get out of the "independent living" place where she lives.  Mary helps her daily getting up and dressed and down to the dining area on the first floor and any other needs she has.  We told her we would visit her this November when we return to the Valley.

We stopped at a new Costco in McAllen and got gasoline for $3.489 instead of the $3.659 at the Velcro station ----I mean Velero -- down the street from there.  It is $3.699 at all the stations here in La Feria and Harlingen.

What more could you want?  -- Sign on a pharmacy in Mexico.

These two young guys were really enjoying their ice cream.
Last evening 24 people gathered to share food and some fish that Jim & Lavin had brought from Illinois.

Tonight we are heading to another neighbor where 12 will gather to eat Pulled Pork.  Many of those who live in the "permanents" -- Mobile homes, park models, fifth-wheels or travel trailers tied down and skirted -- are leaving this week or will leave next week.  Everyone is saying goodbye; and, getting their refrigerators emptied.
Till later, Lynn
