weather

La Feria, TX  58º - just heard on KMA radio that it is 57º in Shenandoah, IA, near our home town.
Yesterday was first day of spring, woke up to humid weather, temperature went to about 78º by 8:30 am and then the "cold" front came through and the north wind dropped it to 66º in just a few minutes.  It rose to lower 70's by afternoon and we rode trikes almost all the way north to Santa Rosa against the wind and then let it help us back south.  After about 16 miles we called it quits.
Several in park left yesterday and may have gotten into the weather as it passed Houston.  A long string of storms all the from just northeast of here to up in Iowa and Minnesota.  Even though weather map showed raining most of the day in Page County, Iowa, KMA reports only .75" for the month.
We are skipping stretching exercise (and Phyllis skipped water aerobics at 6:45 am) and are getting ready to get in our new-looking car and pick up Oliver & Mary Jo and head to Progreso, MX to partake in their Tourist Appreciation Day.  They hold it on March 21st every year, blocking off the first 3 or 4 blocks of street and sitting up vendors as well as entertainment stages at the intersections.  Will probably get a hair cut and shoe shine while down there, too.  Will be returning there next Tuesday to get my 9 teeth caps before we start our return home.
Had the bug man do the inside of our house here yesterday.  I took off panels so he can get underneath when he comes back today and does the outside.  Yesterday looked rainy when he was here and he didn't want to take the chance that anything he put down would be rained on before it dried.
