Just before we went out to eat about 3:30 pm yesterday flowers and box of chocolates and balloons were delivered by local flower shop. Cameron & Patty had arranged this.
There were 38 smaller roses and 12 large roses!
After we sang in the choir at church services we went out with many friends to eat lunch to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary today.
They caught us in a happy moment.

Yesterday afternoon we drove to Harlingen and ate an early supper at Appleby's. We had pasta - mine with shrimp and Phyllis' with chicken & broccoli. Afterwards we drove to Baptist Hospital and visited Ila Mae Newell from Calendar, Iowa who has been in the hospital for a few days. She felt like she was doing a little better.
Have had several telephonecalls this afternoon from Iowa and several callers here at the house from neighbors here at Kenwood today.
Will head up to ice cream and last entertainment show of the season at the Rec Hall at 6 pm
