Sunday evening, after helping serve the ice cream and listening to weekly announcements, we stayed for the last program of the season. A couple brothers doing a variety show -- mostly of Rock and Roll and 1950's-1960's music.
On Monday our park put on an appreciation dinner for all residents still in the park. (Quite a few have ventured north) Kenwood is a Sun Resort and a sister park here in the Valley - Snow to Sun - catered a pulled-pork meal.
I am putting several pictures here of the people in the food line - maybe some of you Kenwood people who are not here right now may recognize "old" friends.
did some emceeing for the program.and games.
Last night (Wednesday) was our last pot luck supper for the season. We have been trying out as many different restaurants in the Valley as possible, but these pot lucks are still some of the best eatin' we have done here.
A few photos of some of the work I have nearly completed on the new 18' wide by 14' deep car-port type awning I have been working on for many weeks now.
At right and the picture above is the "home-made" scaffolding I rigged to finish the work over the end-frame for final installation.
View down the roof with new part closest and the older 35' long section to the back.
Ah, the construction is complete! This next fall, when we return, I plan to remove the old storage shed and complete some walls under this new roof to make a storage/work shop area.
Phyllis took a tumble, missing a step down off a curb coming out of Walmart Tuesday and is wearing a wrap type brace on her right ankle which suffered a severe sprain. She is keeping ice on it and elevated and is to wear the wrap-brace for 4 weeks to make sure the healing is complete before taking it off. Another adventure in paradise.
Till later, Lynn
