Been a while since I posted.
There are a lot of empty spots at the park as many of the "over-winter" people have left. There are some new ones -- especially these Class A's from Canada.
We stopped over at King Aloe to get supply of liquid aloe vera for the summer months. Several of their fields were in bloom.
Last week we had our bug man do his inspection and spraying at the house. It had been some time since a defensive spraying for termites had been done, so I opened 4 places in the skirting and he pumped a pretty potent smelling mixture thoroughly under the trailer. With a warranted agreement he will do a check int he spring and then another spray next fall.
One evening last week Bob & Bobbi Raab hosted a "going away" supper at their place for Doris & Lyle Winter. They are moving their unit to a park in San Juan to the west of us about 20 miles.
Yesterday morning Winter's trailer was pulled from the park and it took a full crew of watchers to help. Bobbie even served rolls!
One day I painted the metal frame of the back door steps.
I got a hose-return box and anchored it with some steel posts planted in front of it. We have a friend who will pull out the hose and water the plants occasionally this summer. This will make it easier for her.
I put some flag stones around the small cactus plants that I planted this winter. They are mostly to keep the grass-cutting crew from damaging the cacti with their weed whips
Dueling cameras - Dave & Ron snapping pictures of each other snapping pictures at meet & greet.
At our last "meet & greet" session of the season.
Saw this guy tooling around Harlingen when we were going down to the chiropractor's office the other day.
.Another pic at meet & greet. Donna & Wesley are across table from us.
.
Jenny, from the office, on her last day with Kenwood. She has found a better job and left us. She will be missed.
In back is Donna, Lorraine, Dortha and Phyllis with Jenny in the center.
Neighbor Ardell left his tomato plant with us when he headed home. Have gotten several little tomatoes off it.
Beautiful tree seen over in Pharr, TX.
This unusual tree is in park that Winter's are moving to. Different than we have seen.
Will be seeing chiropractor for Phyllis this afternoon, will be getting our travel trailer washed and moved to lot next to us so we can begin transferring stuff to it so can leave sometime next week. Things are winding down here at Kenwood. Phyllis' birthday is Thursday so we will probably eat out that day.
