A little warm in the RGV

La Feria, TX 75 degrees at 7:34 pm.  Was 90 degrees earlier in the day.

Quilt of Joyce Holder's quilt that Phyllis did some work on.  Picture taken during the Super Bowl.  TV is behind the quilt -- the quilt was more interesting than the game.

Sunday Patty took some pictures of the
choir before services started.  At right is
Phyllis talking to Sharleen Stivers (with    me behind)

      Most of the choir.

Our people visiting after church.
With nice weather it is time to visit.

And more visiting.

Patty, all dolled up.

After church we went, with several carloads, to Santa Rosa for lunch at a little family owned restaurant.
Dorothy and Butch were at our table.  Guess I didn't get pictures of the rest of our group.

Yesterday went with Mike to aluminum place and picked up a couple window awnings.  Will put them together tomorrow.  Was going to do it today, but we went to Progreso, MX with Oliver & Mary Jo.

On going to Progreso, MX one of our mandatory stops was at Rene's Bakery for rolls and coffee

After coming back to Texas we stopped at Fat Daddy's for a terrific lunch.

We stopped at a country western clothing store in Weslaco -- Lionel's -- and I tried on some good boots, but passed for now.  Phyllis picked out a terrific dress she did buy.  Oliver & I looked at a $1,200 Stetson hat, a $500 Stetson and a $300 hat (which Oliver is wearing at right).  We were able to resist buying any of them.

Tomorrow Phyllis & Patty do another "braided" T-Shirt class at Lakeview RV and I will get the window awnings put on.  Hope to post some photos.

Till later, Lynn
