Friday we went to the Rio Grande Valley Music Festival.
At left is Boxcar Willie and Cowboy
At left is Terry Smith, in the center.
Couple of groups entertaining at Stage 1
Phyllis and Patty at the music festival
Phyllis & Patty washing dishes at the sink. Patty is leaving for home Monday. Will I have to be at the sink???????
They were burning off a sugar cane field just to the north of us this morning getting ready to harvest it. Was a strong wind out of the south, which took the heat away from the close buildings.
Saturday evening we went to Las Vegas for supper. It is a small family-owned restaurant in Harlingen.
At right is Mary Jo, Oliver and meinself.
This is my plate full of Camarón de Mexico (Shrimp with Mexican hot chili, salsa, lots of cheese, white rice, re-fried beans, and lettuce salad); it was a
a huge plate of very tasty food. Almost foundered,
got rid of most of it.
Phyllis had shrimp with garlic butter.
Few days ago I changed out the faucet and drain for a neighbor's bathroom sink.
And changed out the faucet for their kitchen sink.
Thursday I picked up the 14' x 18' car-port type roof and have it in the back yard. Will get the 4 legs planted and the roof put on top of them just north of the original carport. It will cover the storage shed, which I will remove this fall and build a storage/shop area in the corner of the new area.
We take Patty to the plane early in the morning and then take a carload of people from the park to a ranch tour west and south of La Joya, TX.
High winds blowing here now, may blow up some moisture---------we need it.
Lynn
