Billings, Montana

Ready to move from Billings, MT.  Have been parked in yard of Sherrill  & Otto's place since Sunday afternoon.  On Monday we went to pompeys pillar  On the face of the 150-foot butte, Captain William Clark carved his name on July 25, 1806, during his return to the United States through the beautiful Yellowstone Valley.
On Tuesday Sherrill drove us to Little Big Horn Battlefield where we took a very good tour of the battlefield.  The guide gave a very full description of known activities.  Much has been added to this area since we were last there some 25-30 years ago with very good visitors center and many ranger talks as well as this paid bus tour we took.
Yesterday, Wednesday, we went to a World War II Japanese_American_internment camp at Heart Mountain Relocation Center near Powell, Wyoming.  This gave a very full story and pictures of this camp during the second world war when between 10,000 and 11,000 Japanese Americans were kept behind barb wire during the war.  A sad history of what Americans have done to some sectors of people in the US.  Not as sad as all the history around the Little Big Horn fight where you learn of all the atrocities Americans did to the Native Americans.

Today we are going to take off to the west, intending to look around Miles City, MT before going on in to North Dakota.  Intend to visit the area near Bismark at Mandan where Lewis & Clark over-wintered in 1804-1804.

Weather has been a little warmer here then we have experienced, but is to really get warm here the next few days (in the 90's), so time we move on.

Will post photos later.
