Getting warm in Bismarck

It is to get to 95 degrees here in Bismarck, North Dakota today.  We have been on the go about every day for several weeks with the touristy thing (windshield) and lots of stops.  So, today we are just cleaning up the trailer - I got most of the bugs off the front - and Phyllis is doing laundry.  We will do a Walmart run and she is looking to get her nails worked on.  I will pick up a new battery for the trailer.  Had two on it and both are at least 4 years old.  Several days ago the invert-er was running continuously and discovered one of the batteries was so hot it was giving off a little smoke.  I had put water in both of them a few days before, but this one had run it's course and the continuous charging was overheating it.  I took them off parallel and have been running with just one.  The trailer had only one when we bought it, but the one we traded had two and they let me move one over.  If not boondocking imagine one will do anyway.

Was looking at our books and see we have been on road 134 days, set up 48 times with the trailer.  As of today we have pulled the trailer 7,949 miles and drove an additional 5,229 miles doing our site-seeing without trailer hooked up.  Total of 13,402 since we left Kenwood RV on April 9th.  Wonder how many more???  We are seriously considering going from Minneapolis northeast to top of Michigan and down to Ohio to see our daughter, Michelle, back to Marengo, IA to see Cam and family and stop at Boone, IA to see Bill & Twila before getting to Clarinda.

Am almost finished reading Texas, My Texas - Musings Of The Rambling Boy book
Am also almost finished reading Killing-Custer-Battle of Little Bighorn book
I am in the process of reading The Weak Ones Turned Back, The Cowards Never Started which is a book of  stories of some 142 Montana ranch families.

Above are photos of paintings in the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center near Washburn, North Dakota.
I keep working on the Picasa albums on the web, cropping, deleting and giving descriptions.  Check back on them if you want.
More later, Lynn
